Our forthcoming edited volume, Reimagining Hong Kong’s Cultural Identity: From Transition to Transformation, published by Routledge, examines the changing expressions and understandings of Hong Kong’s cultural identity. Bringing together perspectives from across the arts and humanities, the collection explores questions of identity, cultural production, and transformation in Hong Kong and beyond.

Island Voices on the Move: Sinophone Research Forum

Our 2025 forum explored cultural expression and identity in the Hong Kong and Taiwan contexts through two interlinked workshops. Sessions addressed themes of language, media, diaspora, memory, and representations.
